Preparing For Your Visit
Your first appointment is a conversation, not a commitment. Here's everything you need to feel confident walking in.
What to Expect During Your Consultation
Your first visit to iT Aesthetix is all about getting to know you. There's no rushing and no pressure, just real time with your provider to talk about your goals.
We start by listening.
Your provider will ask what's been on your mind, what you'd love to change (or keep!) and a bit about your health history. Then they'll look at your unique facial anatomy, because great results start with understanding your face, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Ask us anything.
Wondering how many units you need, whether filler will look natural, or what downtime really means? Ask away. Your provider will give you honest, straightforward answers and realistic options that fit your goals.
You'll know exactly what to expect.
If a treatment is right for you, we'll walk you through how it works, what your results should look like and what recovery involves, so there are no surprises.
We'll always be honest with you.
If the timing isn't right, or a different approach would serve you better, we'll tell you. Our goal isn't just one appointment. It's helping you look and feel your best for years to come.

How Personalized Treatment Planning Works
No two patients leave with the same plan, because no two patients have the same goals, anatomy, or history. Here's what shapes your plan:
- Your aesthetic goals and what matters most to you
- A clinical assessment of your facial anatomy and skin health
- Your treatment history and any prior procedures
- Your timeline, lifestyle, and tolerance for downtime
- Honest guidance on what to expect at each stage
How to Prepare for Your First Appointment
A little preparation goes a long way. To help your appointment feel relaxed and run smoothly:
- Arrive with clean skin, free of heavy makeup, if possible
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before injectable appointments
- Discontinue blood-thinning supplements (unless prescribed) for several days before injectables.
- Skip retinoids or active skincare ingredients for 2–3 days before facial or laser treatments
- Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your visit
- Come prepared to share your medical and treatment history, along with current medications
- Write down your questions in advance. We are happy to answer any questions you may have
What to Bring
- A valid photo ID
- Your insurance card, if applicable
- A list of current medications and supplements
- Notes on any previous aesthetic treatments
- Any reference photos that help communicate your goals
Timing and Scheduling Considerations
If you're preparing for a wedding, milestone event, or extended travel, let us know at the time of booking. Treatment timing matters: some treatments need weeks to take effect before results are visible, while others are best scheduled closer to your date.
Planning ahead gives your provider the flexibility to sequence treatments thoughtfully and avoid unnecessary stress around your event.
After Your Med Spa Consultation
Before you leave, your provider will make sure you have a clear picture of your next steps. If a treatment is scheduled, you'll receive aftercare instructions specific to the procedure, including what to avoid, what to expect, and how to support your results at home.
For more complex treatment plans, your provider may outline a phased approach across multiple visits. Follow-up appointments allow your provider to assess how your skin responds, make adjustments, and ensure that results are progressing as they should.
What Patients Are Saying
Frequently Asked Questions
Not at all! Your consultation is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation. Some patients come in ready to get started that day, and others like to take some time to think it over. Both are completely okay.
There's never any obligation to book until you feel ready. We're here to answer your questions and help you make the choice that's right for you.
Most consultations take 20 to 45 minutes, depending on how much you'd like to cover. Whether it's one quick question or a full-face combination therapy plan, we'll give you the time you need. You'll never feel rushed, because it's always about you.
Hoping to get treated the same day? Just let us know when you book. Your provider will tell you how much extra time to plan for, so you can walk out refreshed and right on schedule.
You're not alone, and you're in the right place. We actually want to hear about past treatments, the good and the not-so-good. Your provider will take a close look at what was done, how your face has responded and what makes the most sense moving forward.
Our team is highly experienced in corrective treatments, and there's no judgment here. Our goal is to help you feel confident again with results that look natural and feel like you.
For most patients, yes, and that's a good thing! The most natural, beautiful results usually come from combination therapy: pairing treatments that work together, like injectables, lasers and collagen-boosting treatments.
Many of these treatments, especially collagen-stimulating and laser treatments, build results gradually over a series of sessions. Your provider will create a plan with a realistic timeline and walk you through what to expect at each step, so you always know where you're headed.
A little prep goes a long way toward your best results!
Before injectables (Botox, filler): For a few days before your appointment, try to avoid alcohol and supplements that can increase bruising, like fish oil, vitamin E and ibuprofen. Please do not stop any prescription medication, including blood thinners. Just let us know what you take, and we'll guide you.
Before skin and laser treatments: Skip active skincare ingredients like retinol and retinoids for a few days beforehand, so your skin is calm and ready.
Not sure about something? Just give us a call. We're always happy to help you prep.
